Dear Howley families,
Well, we have made it to the end of a very busy term! I know from speaking with many of you in the playground that everyone is ready for a break from school runs. I think our children are hugely excited and really tired in equal measure -what a combination! In truth, they have been nothing short of amazing since we returned to school in September and thoroughly deserve the very best of festive breaks. The same can be said for our fantastic staff team and families too.
The last few weeks have been full of events. Our Reception children performed their Nativity and showed such confidence and character up on the stage. Years 1-6 sang their hearts out at our Christmas singalong. They were joined by our very talented recorder group and choir, who also visited Allenbrook Nursing home to entertain residents. Thank you so much for supporting these events. It is wonderful to be able to welcome you all into school to celebrate these special times together. Our PTA have also been working really hard to make sure our children have had great fun and have raised much needed money for school with the magnificent hampers. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, efforts and donations - congratulations to those who won hampers!
This term, more than any other, has shown us the importance of community spirit and just how special ours is. When we have all needed it the most, the kindness, compassion and togetherness of Howley has been both humbling and inspiring. I will be forever grateful to be a part of such a strong and supportive community. We have also been reminded of what really matters in life - health, happiness, friends and family. I hope that over the next couple of weeks, you all enjoy spending time celebrating with your loved ones at this special time of year.
Thank you so much for all of your support. I wish everyone a lovely Christmas and a happy and peaceful start to the new year.
See you all on Monday 6th January, ready for an exciting 2025!
Take care,
Miss Lewis
